Week 7      Student Presentations - Final Exam

A limited number of student presentations will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 after which there'll be a 15 minute break before the start of the multiple choice section of the exam.   These presentations include: YouTube and heroin chic, and Bill C-69 - the copyright law.

You may use notes provided they're typed, stapled, have your name written on them, and are submitted with your Scantron card.  Photocopied or scanned pages from the textbook aren't allowed as notes, and any notes should be available for inspection before the exam begins.

Part one consists of 150 multiple choice questions on chapters 12-17 of the textbook.   Please keep your copy of the questions as your Scantron, along with the correct answers, will be made available if you later wish to check which questions you answered correctly.   Value: 15%

Part two is made up of four questions from the supplementary readings.  You're expected to demonstrate a thorough understanding of these readings, so there's no maximum length limit for your answers.  Please write in paragraph, as opposed to point, form.  The question sheet for part two is provided once you've completed part one, and your answers should be submitted by email before midnight on Wednesday, August 6th.   Value 10%

Note:  If you still have copies of the old 'Life' and/or 'Illustrated London News' magazines, please return them on Wednesday.

I appreciate the effort you've made to complete this SOCI 205 summer course, and understand it has meant taking significant time away from family, friends, as well as leisure and/or employment opportunities.  Enjoy the rest of the summer, and best wishes for the future.
